I chose to volunteer here with my stepson to have him see and experience the incredibly wonderful help that comes out of Red Cedar Cafe. He was welcomed by the entire staff and was happy to be put to work to help prepare the nutritious meals prepared there. If you’re new to Victoria too it’s a great place to volunteer doing delivery as it teaches you the layout of the city.

I order food for someone who really needs it. High praise to those who started Red Cedar Cafe and its excellent service to the public. You are heros. The food is healthy and nutritious and caters to a variety of tastes. High praise too to everyone who has carried on delivering these much needed meals to all of their grateful recipients. You are also heros who deserve much more praise. I also love you have a sliding scale so people who can afford it can donate or even order a meal themselves. The only reason I am giving four stars instead of five is because ordering on line is a little too complicated. I am happy to give suggestions to improve this if asked. Currently, it is my understanding that only agencies can call in with orders. It would be nice if luddite individuals could also just phone in. When I go on holidays the fellow I help goes without meals.

What an amazing resource. The food is hearty and healthy and they even deliver. I am so grateful for The Red Cedar Cafe! I donate cash when I can and the fact I don't have go to some other places where the element is negative and overwhelming. Thank you to all involved who make this possible.

I was injured at work recently and my employer (who also provided housing accommodations) laid me off and essentially evicted me. The Red Cedar Cafe has been my saving grace, allowing me to have access to affordable (and/or free) healthy and filling meals. I recommend supporting them if you can (with money, or food donations) because they’ve got an unreal meal program that undoubtedly helps a lot of individuals and families in need. I hope to volunteer for them in the future so I can give back!

Went and did some bread bagging at the Ref Cedar Cafe in order to support our community. The people who work and volunteer here are even better than the delicious food! I highly refined this local joint!

What a lovely place with such welcoming staff. Their mandate is fantastic, and it doesn't hurt that the food is quite delicious. When you eat at the cafe, part of the proceeds go towards their efforts to feed our community. I had heard such wonderful things about this place, and it did not disappoint. Get a caesar, go for the breakfast hash. My partner got the pancakes and loved them. I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong.
